Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the practice of inserting needles into the body for a therapeutic effect. The location where the needles are placed is along meridian channels mapped on the body. Meridians are where large amount of energy or “qi” circulate. It is along these pathways that the acupuncture points are located and needles are inserted. Additional therapeutic techniques that are utilized by Oriental Medicine Practitioners are moxibustion, cupping, gua-sha, tuina and acupressure.
