Meet the Admissions Team

Wongu’s Admissions Team is here for you! Taking the next step toward starting higher education is made simple by our dedicated Admissions Staff. Call us anytime to learn more about Wongu, our requirements, how to apply, and opportunities to come check out the school and clinic. We look forward to hearing from you. Cheers!

Hello all! My name is Lisa Sequera and I am the Admissions Director here at Wongu. I would like to personally thank you for your interest in Wongu and I am here to answer any questions that you might have. Working in Admissions is great; I get to combine my passion for education, helping others, and wellness. I have earned my undergrad in communications and have completed a Masters in Adult Education.

I am very fortunate to work for Wongu, a community of dedicated educators who are passionate about education, healing, excellence, leadership, community, and service. I’m excited to be able to help students achieve their goals, and be excellent Oriental Medicine doctors.

Hi interested candidates! My name is Deborah Fiala and I am a student here at Wongu as well as an Admissions Coordinator. I completed a B.A. in World Religions in 2013 and then decided to continue my education in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I naturally gravitated to this field because of my appreciation for the Eastern Religions I studied while completing my undergraduate degree, particularly Taoism. For me, Oriental Medicine is much more than just medicine, it is a way of life that I continually work to embody. Feel free to contact me anytime to ask questions, learn about the program and tour the school and campus. I’m just a phone call away!

Hello everyone!

It’s a pleasure to meet you! My name is Kinesha B. McDaniel and I’m your Front Desk as well as Admissions Support Specialist. I speak two other languages and I make origami. I completed my B.A. in Anthropology in 2012 but instead of hunting for a job in the Anthropological field, I decided to work at a school that specializes in the teaching and application of Oriental medicine.

Everyone strives for a healthier way of living, myself included, and this university, as well as its Health Center work together to help make the world a healthier place by combining Oriental and Western medicine. Although I am not a student, I continue to learn more about the core of Wongu which is internal harmony begets external harmony.

If you are interested in helping make the world a little bit healthier, I highly recommend becoming a student and coming in for a tour of the campus and Health Center! I look forward to meeting you! J
