HB300 Introduction to Herbology

This course will provide an introduction to the medicinal use of Oriental medicine herbs, including a basic study of plant life, plant morphology, history of Oriental herbal medicine, and the classification and basic properties of Chinese herbs. Basic principles of herbs such as color, taste, prescription, and preparation for medicine will also be presented.
