Prof. Chau Nguyen has more than five years of experience in Taiji and Qigong. She studied Child and Adolescent Psychology at California State Polytechnic University Pomona prior to beginning her training at the Shaolin Kungfu Chan Academy, then continued at the Shaolin Tai Chi Cultural Center with Master Shi Chang Yuan, a 33rd Shaolin Master of the Songshan Shaolin Temple in China. She has won three gold, four silvers, and two bronze medals in Women’s Division in Taiji Hand Forms, Taiji Weapons Form, and Shaolin Kungfu at the International Chinese Martial Arts Championship (ICMAC) and the Shaolin Cultural Festival. Chau has experience in Qigong, and Yang and Chen Style Taiji. She is a strong believer in finding health and happiness through the practice of Taiji movements.
Prof. Nguyen is currently teaching Taiji and Qigong at Wongu.
Dr. Daniel M. Davies received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington, Masters for both Southern Methodist University and Drew University, and Doctorate from Theological Seminary at Drew University. Dr. Davies is the author of a book, numerous peer-reviewed journal articles as well as frequent presenter at academic conferences. His book, The Life and Thought of Henry G. Appenzeller: Missionary to Korea: 1852-1902 (Edwin Mellen Press, 1987), is considered a major contribution to the study of mission work in Korea and the development of Korean society. He served as a tenured Associate Professor of Religious Studies and Director of the International Department at Sun Moon University (Korea) and, later, served on the Executive Development Committee at Cheongshim International Academy (Korea). Having lived many years in Korea, he has been a strong advocate of the benefits of traditional Asian medicine and is an ex-officio member of the board.
Dr. Vim Osathanugrah received her Master of Science in Environmental Science degree from Chulalongkorn University and Master of Arts in Education Administration degree from California State University of Los Angeles prior to obtaining her Master’s of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine degree from Yo San University and Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree from Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine. She has an extensive administrative experience in higher education as well as clinical experience.
Dr. Vim is currently teaching Oriental medicine and Acupuncture courses as well as supervises in the clinic.
