This course is the second of three Western Clinical Medicine courses series and is a prerequisite for the remaining courses in the series. This course presents an overview of selected common diseases observed and treated in biomedicine. This course examines etiology, pathogenesis, differential diagnosis and treatment principles of  renal and urinary tract disease, electrolytes and acid-base balance, cardiovascular disease, and respiratory disease. Critical care medicine, Environmental medicine, and poisoning will also be covered.
